Grading Scale
 
Mint (M) 9.8 - 10.0 Perfect in every way. Only one or two subtle defects.
Near Mint (NM)  9.0 - 9.7 Almost perfect. A few minor defects. High gloss and color.
Very fine (VF)  7.5- 8.9 Almost perfect up to 5 or six minor defects. Exceptional color and reflectivity.
Fine (F) 5.5 - 7.4  Some noticeable reading wear. Minor spine stress and small 1/4 inch crease allowed. An above average copy. Still has nice gloss .
Very good (VG)  3.5 - 5.4  Read many times but taken care of. Must be complete. The centerfold can be detached but the book is solid. Still has nice eye appeal.
Good (G)  1.5 - 3.4 Must be complete but well read. Cover can be detached but many creases and a lot of stress to the spine are allowed. Pages are still supple and readable but not brittle.
Fair (F)  .6 - 1.4 Mostly complete but pages and parts of the cover can be missing. Rugged copy.
Poor (P)  .5  Coverless or missing a lot of pages. Heavy damage to the comic.

All comics are graded on the basis of this grading scale which is compliant with the Overstreet price guide standards. The 10 point scale shown here is used by CGC and Overstreet. The CGC graded comics are listed using this scale. My other comics are listed using the the letter grade. I try to grade my comics on the safe side as grading can be very subjective, but these letter grades can vary depending who is grading them. Definitions and Abbreviations

(I) Introduction and first appearance of a character or group.
(O) Origin of a character or group.
(D) Death of a character or group.
(Ped) Pedigree Any comic from a recognized pedigree collection, such as Mile High, Crowley, River City collection.
(C) Cameo One page or brief appearance of a character or group.
(ID) Identity.

Lot:  A group of 2 or more comics offered as lot for sale. They can be randomly numbered from different eras.
Run:  A group of comics listed in consecutive order without a break such as a run of Flash 1-46.
Mini-series:  A short run of a title completing one story line and with a separate title, such as Punisher 1-5 1986 Mini.
